Bethany Hamilton
Bethany Hamilton. at just 13 yrs old she lost her left arm in a shark attack on October 31st, 2003. At that time, at just 13 yrs she had already secured 8 surfing sponsors. Ranked 8th in the junior world. 2008 was her first year competeing on the WQS and this year will make it her second year on the WQS with hopes of making it onto the WQT. @rockinchild yeah but even at 13 I never talked like that, nobody I knew at 13 talked like a 7 year old. But yeah its gotten better.

bethany hamilton is my hero im still hoping one day i can be half as good as her, she gives me the drive i need every now n then to keep trying and the proof i need to see that it is posible to rip it up with one arm., plus she looks stunning to. love you beth you give so many ppl so many things by being just you xx

Ok, some of you might not belive me, but my old teacher in 6th grade was there when she got attacked. My teacher was on her honey moon in Hawaii or something where ever she lives, and saw the whole thing. Dx I showed her the book, because I wanted to show her how her arm was ripped off, and she started freaking out. She told me the whole story.. I was like extremly shocked. ._.
